PK Sound, the robotic line array company, has welcomed Sarasota, Florida-based Platinum Live Productions (PLP) to the PK Alliance following the company’s investment in a T8 robotic line source system. PLP joins the growing network of Florida-based production partners leveraging the acoustic advantages and operational efficiencies of PK’s patented Multi-Axis Robotics.
“PLP is focused on delivering the best experience for our clients and attendees each and every time we leave our shop,” comments Anthony Congdon, Owner of Platinum Live Productions. “With my performance background, which is the driving force behind everything we do, I always strive to be the best company out there and bring a unique audio and visual experience that helps tell our story. PK brings not only the sound into focus, but my vision as well. Creating a great client and audience experience means producing the best possible audio for every attendee. Having precise mechanical control of the system allows us to shape the audio coverage to the exact contours of each unique room and audience. That brings the audience closer to the message and lets them become a part of the event, rather than just attending it.”
PLP’s initial investment comprises 12 T8 robotic line source elements and eight T218 intelligent subwoofers. The compact T8 system delivers multi-axis coverage control through patented robotics, enabling crews to precisely tailor vertical and horizontal dispersion for each deployment while reducing reflections and noise spill beyond the intended audience area.
“Being able to walk each room or venue and now adjust the experience in real time with the .dynamics MOVE app makes it even easier to bring our vision into focus,” adds Congdon. “We can precisely configure and fine-tune coverage from a mobile phone while walking the room. This ensures every attendee gets the exact same powerful, memorable experience – the finishing touch to delivering something exceptional, the only way I know how.”
Founded in 2016, Platinum Live Productions provides complete live production and integration services for clients throughout the United States. The company is built around dependable technical execution, flexible inventory, and an unwavering commitment to creating the best possible experience for every client and attendee. From concerts and festivals to corporate events, special productions, and beyond, PLP now brings precise, dynamic sound control to audiences of any size and venue type.
For larger-scale applications, the company can also draw on inventory from fellow PK Alliance partners across Florida, expanding system capability while maintaining a consistent, high-quality workflow that puts the experience first.
PLP is also looking forward to collaborating with PK Sound on in-market training, demonstrations, and special events from its newly expanded headquarters, creating opportunities for regional production professionals to experience physical soundfield control firsthand.
“We’re excited to work alongside a technically skilled, next-generation company like Platinum Live Productions,” adds Darryl Ross, U.S. Partner & Applications Support, PK Sound. “Anthony and his team immediately recognized the acoustic and operational advantages of our robotic technology – from more precise coverage and reduced noise spill to faster, safer deployment. We look forward to supporting their growth in Florida and introducing more of the market to Sound That Moves.”
