Position Summary:
PK Sound is seeking a relationship-driven business development professional to expand our presence throughout the Eastern United States. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on building genuine partnerships, developing new opportunities, and representing an innovative brand within the professional live sound industry.
As U.S. Partner Support – East, you will serve as PK Sound's primary commercial representative across your territory, working closely with production companies, rental providers, system integrators, venues, consultants, and touring professionals. Your success will be measured not only by sales growth but by the strength of the relationships you build and the long-term value you create for our customers and partners.
The successful candidate is a proactive network builder who enjoys being in the field, attending industry events, visiting customers, and identifying opportunities where PK Sound can make a meaningful impact. While an understanding of professional audio systems is important, this is first and foremost a business development and relationship management role.
Working collaboratively with our Sales, Marketing, Support, and Applications teams, you will help drive market adoption, strengthen customer loyalty, and support PK Sound's continued growth throughout the region. Frequent travel throughout the Eastern United States is expected.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development & Market Growth
- Identify and develop new business opportunities throughout the Eastern United States.
- Build lasting relationships with rental companies, production providers, systems integrators, consultants, venues, and touring professionals.
- Execute territory growth strategies aligned with PK Sound's commercial objectives.
- Regularly visit customers and prospects to strengthen relationships and identify new opportunities.
- Represent PK Sound at trade shows, customer events, demonstrations, festivals, and industry conferences.
- Expand PK Sound's visibility and influence within the regional professional audio community.
Partner Success & Account Development
- Own and grow an assigned portfolio of strategic customer accounts.
- Develop trusted relationships with decision-makers, technical teams, and business leaders.
- Support customers throughout the entire relationship lifecycle, from initial engagement through repeat business and long-term growth.
- Identify opportunities for additional system deployments, fleet expansion, upgrades, and new projects.
- Coordinate closely with Sales and Support teams to ensure an exceptional customer experience from quotation through delivery.
Customer Engagement & Product Advocacy
- Coordinate and participate in product demonstrations, listening events, and customer workshops.
- Support customer visits to PK Sound headquarters.
- Present new products, technology updates, and company initiatives to customers and partners.
- Act as a brand ambassador, promoting PK Sound's culture, innovation, and customer-first approach.
- Gather customer feedback and competitive insights to support Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing.
Commercial Excellence
- Maintain disciplined pipeline management within the company CRM.
- Track customer activity, opportunities, and account development.
- Provide accurate sales forecasting and territory reporting.
- Share market intelligence, competitive information, and customer feedback with leadership.
- Collaborate with Marketing on regional campaigns, events, and lead generation initiatives.
Technical & Customer Support
- Provide high-level product guidance during the sales process.
- Assist customers with basic system planning and product selection.
- Coordinate with Applications and Support teams for detailed system design, commissioning, training, and advanced technical support.
- Help ensure customers receive a seamless experience throughout their ownership journey.
Qualifications:
Experience
- 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, account management, or customer success within the professional audio, live event, and / or AV industries.
- Proven ability to build long-term customer relationships and grow strategic accounts.
- Experience working with rental companies, production providers, systems integrators, consultants, or venues is highly desirable.
Skills
- Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills.
- Strong commercial mindset with a passion for developing new business.
- Self-motivated and comfortable managing a large geographic territory.
- Organized with disciplined CRM and opportunity management.
- Confident presenter who enjoys networking, customer meetings, and industry events.
- Working knowledge of professional audio systems is preferred, with a willingness to continue developing technical expertise.
Travel
- Extensive travel throughout the Eastern United States.
- Attendance at trade shows, demonstrations, customer events, and occasional international travel.
- Valid passport and ability to travel throughout North America.
